The website will tell you more about these free courses. Detailed below is information about the upcoming courses at Norley Hall Community Centre in Pemberton. Other courses will be running in Ince and Atherton later this year. ARTS FOR WELLBEING & ENTERPRISE... COME AND HAVE SOME FUN AND BE PART OF SOMETHING NEW AT NORLEY HALL COMMUNITY CENTRE! Both courses are FREE as they are funded by Wigan Council (the Working Neighbourhood Fund) and are for anyone over the age of 16 living in the Wigan Borough. As well as the courses, you will be able to join with an exhibition and sale of work and contribute to a new joint arts enterprise if you wish (not compulsory)! The ARTS COURSE focuses on developing skills and confidence- drawing, painting etc - for both wellbeing and fun. We also plan to organise an exhibition and sale of work at the end of the year, for those who wish to join in. The ENTERPRISE COURSE will be helpful, both for those planning to set up the exhibition and sale of work and those who would like to take it further and consider starting a small business. It looks at organisational skills, money management, marketing and promotion etc:- in fact, all the skills you already use now in day to day life, but from the viewpoint of running your own business! The advantage of this course is that it is right for both those who want to see what it is like, without actually committing to starting a business, and for those who already have started and want to go full steam ahead! All the dates and times of our courses can be found on the Website along with upcoming Taster Days at Ince and Atherton www.awesomefutures.org.uk
